Plagiarism 101

Hello class.  Today I am home with a sick child.  Today I would like you to read about plagiarism and answer some questions.  I am thinking that the entire class needs a refresher on the topic of plagiarism.

1)  Go to the following link and take the tutorial developed by  Vaughan Memorial Library at Acadia University.  Write down three key topics you learned after taking tutorial.

2)  Read Avoiding Plagiarism article from UC Davis, Div. of Student Affairs, Office of Student Judicial Affairs, September, 2006.

2) Finish interview worksheet. All interview worksheets need to be placed back in the Period 3 class drawer at the end of class.  Extra worksheets are in one of the white drawers labeled "Interview".  Please rehearse with your partner and make sure that the interview length is between 2 and 3 minutes long (time your group).   If you go over 3 minutes that is OK and if it is too short add more questions.

Creative Arts QA's has been pushed back one day due to the snow days.  All blog entries, commercial projects, edit tests are due by the end of class on Monday, January 31st. 

Please make sure that when you are burning your commercial project to your Portfolio DVD that it is on your partner's disc as well!  For example:  if Kiersten and Nicole created a commercial together...that same commercial should be on both of their discs.
